Nick Fisher, Family Physician

BSc MBChB DipSEM MRCGP DipMM CCFP Maj (retired) RAMC

Dr Nick Fisher has been living and practicing medicine in Pemberton BC since 2014. He trained at the University of Glasgow Medical School, graduating in 2004. During his studies, he joined the British Army and served as a Medical Officer in the US, Germany, and the UK, as well as deploying on operational duties to Iraq, and Afghanistan with 2nd Battalion the Parachute Regiment. 2 PARA provided the perfect environment for him to develop his interests in Sports Medicine, Prehospital Emergency Medicine and High Altitude and Mountain Medicine and, whilst doing so, first became attracted to British Columbia and the draw of the Coast Mountains. After retiring in the rank of Major he moved to Pemberton and now enjoys combining Family and Emergency Medicine with volunteering as team doctor for the Pemberton Search and Rescue team. When not working at the clinic, Nick enjoys hiking, camping, backcountry skiing, snowmobiling and mountain biking, often accompanied by his wife, Jen and dog, Ridley.
